The Year of the Rabbit is hopping away and the Year of the Dragon is ushering in with great anticipation.

The dragon is considered the most distinctive of the twelve zodiac signs as it demonstrates a mysterious and mythical image revered for its nobility with its combination of the gentleness of a deer, the strength of a crocodile, the composure of a tortoise, the agility of a snake and the freedom of a fish. In Chinese culture, the dragon is perceived as a symbol of good fortune,  the dragon sign is imagination and creativity in its ultimate form.

How do pupils at Wellington College Hangzhou draw the image of a dragon?

As we approach the Chinese New Year, we would like to share with you the drawings of dragons created by our pupils. We wish you a prosperous Year of the Dragon filled with good luck and best wishes.

On this festive occasion, Wellington College Hangzhou is delighted to present our limited edition Weixin Red Packet cover for the Year of the Dragon. The cover design features our school mascot, Welly, the Wellington lion, performing the dragon dance against the iconic English baroque style classic architecture of the WCCH building. Let us join hands and embrace a promising and bright Year of the Dragon.

Don't forget to collect the Red Packet cover and spread this joy with your friends and family.
