Huili pupils win technology competition

Huili School Hangzhou pupils Tiger, John, William and Jeff presented their group work named Internet of Things and won the Best Works in the 3rd Swift Playgrounds Creative Presentation in the Eastern China held on 1 August 2021 in Hangzhou. The event was a sub-session of China University Computer Competition – Mobile Application Innovation Session, and invited professionals in the area, including professors from Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, as judges. 

 

Competing with students coming from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hefei, and other cities in the area, the team applied 21st century technology and incorporated creativity into their work. The judges were impressed by how innovative the young talents were and how they were able to transfer the theoretical knowledge for pragmatic use.  

 

We are proud of their achievements in this event. Their work bears witness to social responsibility and cooperative skills.

 

 

Competition introduction

The Mobile Application Innovation Contest of China Collegiate Computing was jointly held by Zhejiang University and Apple Inc. shortened as C4, a science competition for college students in all majors in China. It was initially launched by the Teaching Committee of Computing Major by the Ministry of Education and the National College Computing Research Association in 2016. The Mobile Application Innovation Contest has been listed as one of the sessions since 2019, which has set Swift Playgrounds Creative Presentations as its sub-session since 2018, aiming to encourage primary and secondary students to apply Swift Playgrounds in their programming learning and inspire their creativity to incorporate sci-tech into their daily lives.

 

2021 Mobile Application Innovation Contest collected creative coding works developed by Swift Playgrounds from primary and secondary students in China. 50 teams were awarded as outstanding and 10 as the outstanding presentation team. The latter were invited to present their works in the Mobile Application Innovation Contest of China Collegiate Computing Contest jointly held by Zhejiang University and Apple Inc..
