Claire graduated from Xiamen University (XMU) in 2014, having majored in Chinese Language and Literature as well as Advertisement. After that, she completed her Master’s degree at East China Normal University (ECNU), specializing in Language Teaching.
She has participated in a number of bilingual programs which enhances her understanding in the field of education. During her study at ECNU, she volunteered to practice teaching Chinese at an international school in America, whose curriculum is designed bilingually. In 2016, based on her Chinese immersion teaching experience, her research paper Children’s Vocabulary Acquisition in Chinese Immersion Program was published in Education Curriculum Research (ISSN 2095-3089), Sept. Issue. After graduation, she worked for Hangzhou Yuhai Foreign Language School and gained several teaching awards.
Claire has many interests include debating, running and music. She won First Prize in the 7th Freshman Debate Competition in XMU. In 2014, she won the Best debater of ECNU 7th Graduate Students’ Debate Competition. In 2016, she completed a half marathon within 2 hours in San Jose, U.S.A.
