Charlotte Fong is from Cheshire, England. As an undergraduate, she studied for her BA (Hons) degree in Dance Practices at the University of Liverpool John Moores. During this time, she was particularly interested in the field of Dance Education, which further developed her knowledge of the curriculum and teaching to a variety of learning styles. Charlotte then continued to gain her PGCE in Primary Education through Liverpool Hope University. During her career, Charlotte has taught children across all primary classes and experienced different curricula and pedagogical styles. She believes that education should be engaging, interactive and accessible. Teaching English in a bilingual setting is an exciting opportunity for Charlotte and she relishes in the idea of helping to support and develop the students understanding of language. Alongside teaching English, Charlotte still has a passionate for dance and performance. She first began dancing at the age of 4, competing in national dancing competitions before moving on to study contemporary dance and musical theatre. In previous teaching roles, she has taught several dance styles including jazz, ballet and Bollywood. Charlotte is excited have joined Joining Xian house, as their House Master and helping to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all students and staff.
