Mr. Yi graduated from Shanghai University of Sport, he majored in elite swimming training and he has gained a huge amount of experience coaching and working alongside professional athletes. His second major is tennis，and he has huge enthusiasm about that sport. Ares has a strong and impressive background in aquatics and as a competitor Ares gained a national title in the 100m breast stroke and a silver medal in the 400m individual medley as the national level sportsman.
Since pursuing a career in coaching he has gained a national certificate in swimming coaching and also in life guarding from the Shangahi swimming institute. Before taking up the post of aquatics coach at Wellington College Hangzhou, Ares was a lifeguard and swimming coach at Disney Land, Florida in the USA. Ares has made the first swimming perform ace squad at Hangzhou Wellinton school and he is very much looking forward to developing all swimmers at Wellington but is particularly driven to boost the profile of the College at national or international competitions.
He really enjoys sharing his life experiences, especially in sports, to inspire children and young people in establishing their own distinguished attitude towards sport. Ares believes sport can, and will, make children happier by embracing physical fitness, personal development and a greater sense of team spirit.
