Ruiting completed her master's degree at Oregon State University and her undergraduate degree from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in music education. She is a pianist and singer and is also adept at French Horn. She conducted the Oregon State Women's choir, community choir, an orchestra and performed in public concerts. Now Ruiting has worked as a high school music teacher in international schools for 3 years and has taught the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Music course. Her students have received A* in their IGCSE exams. Many of her students received ABRSM music theory certificates and awards in international music competitions. Ruiting received many "Outstanding Teaching" awards in music competitions, including the 2020 Liszt Youth International Piano Competition (China), the 2019 UK Royal International Art Competition and more. Ruiting completed her recent research which was published in a journal, title the Psychological Development and Teaching Design of Music Learning for High School Students. Ruiting has also completed several training programs. Some of her courses include International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme ( IBDP) Music, IGCSE Music, Orff Schulwerk, Plano Kodály, and choral teachers training. Ruiting was the supervisor of the Student Union in an international school. She organized many school events and helped students with their leadership. She also was the judge of the Zhejiang Musicians Association Music Level Exam and the judge of the Zhejiang Youth Art Conference.
