Iris Wang

26 February 2019
Iris Wang graduated from the University of Bristol, UK with a degree in Psychology of Education. Thanks to her overseas education, she has developed a deep understanding of the differences between education in the west and in China. In her graduation dissertation, she surveyed the factors that strongly affect Chinese students’ ability to think critically, discussing the differences between Chinese virtue-oriented learning and western task-oriented learning in detail. She firmly believes that the Chinese education system should incorporate the best features of the western model in order to facilitate student development. Before her postgraduate studies, she worked as an early education instructor at Gymboree, during which time she developed a profound appreciation for the happy learning concept and the use of lively activities when teaching. Only interesting classes can stimulate children's curiosity and attention, during which full-time participation can be achieved to promote children's progress.
