Joyce graduated from Jiangnan University with a degree with distinction in advertising. Later she completed her master’s degree with merit at the University of York, specialising in Social Research. Five years ago, she found her great passion in education after working as a volunteer English teacher in Qiannan and joining the TFC (Teach for China) program in Yunnan. Her overseas learning and various rural and urban work experiences have provided her with flexibility in working in a diverse community. She has experience in both local and international school. She has taught children of different backgrounds and of different ages from 9 years to 15 years. She believes that the best teacher inspires. Everyone can benefit from appreciating the differences of others. Before Wellington, she worked as a Coach Mentor in HZCIS, where she co-created one English book with her junior high students within one year of boarding experience.
Outside the classroom, she always designs and shares her new projects with people around her. She enjoys writing, drawing and traveling. She believes that to share is to love. The happiest thing for her is to share and connect with the students around her.
