Welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year. I believe everyone has had a lovely summer holiday and is looking forward to a new learning journey.
开学前几周，学校工作主要围绕新教师培训和新学年准备事宜。我们迎来了20位中外方教师，其中不乏拥有牛津、帝国理工等名校教育背景的教师。学校外教团队主要来自于英国、美国、澳大利亚和南非，其中来自英国的外教占50%以上，各学部中外教比例大致为1:1 ，平均教龄10年以上。拥有这样的一支经验丰富的教师队伍，我们非常有信心，在新的学年，惠立学校的教育教学将更加卓越，校园活动也更加精彩纷呈。
In the first few weeks of the school year, the school mainly focuses on the induction of new teachers and the preparation for the new school year. We have welcomed 20 Chinese and expatriate teachers, many of whom have educational backgrounds in famous universities such as Oxford and Imperial College. The ex-pat teachers mainly come from the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and South Africa, of which more than 50% are ex-pat teachers from the United Kingdom. The proportion of Chinese and ex-pat teachers in each department is roughly 1:1, and the average teaching age is more than ten years. With such an experienced teaching team, we are confident that in the new school year, Huili school will be more excellent in education and teaching, and campus activities will be more splendid.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome all new students who have joined Huili, and I hope you will have a momentous first day at Huili next week on Orientation Day. As you embark on a new journey of learning and exploring new areas of knowledge at Huili, I wish you to integrate into the Huili community as soon as possible and adopt the Huili Values - "Courage, Respect, Integrity, Kindness and Responsibility", and constantly develop the Huili Identities of "Inspired, Intellectual, independent, individual and inclusive".

今年五月和六月，惠灵顿杭州校区的学生参加了IGCSE考试。在上周四与本周四，我们收获了学生们的IGCSE成绩。参加考试的学生获得了59% A*，73%A-A*，其中两位同学更是取得了全A-A*的优异成绩。这是同学们积极追求学术卓越的体现，也是教师们辛勤付出的成果，衷心祝贺他们！我也期望学生们在升入高中部正式开启A Level课程学习之后，能够再接再厉，持续进取，在大学升学中取得更加令人骄傲的成就。
Wellington College Hangzhou pupils took their IGCSE examinations from May to June this year. Last Thursday and this Thursday, we received outstanding IGCSE results. The pupils who took part in the examinations obtained 59% A *, 73% A-A*, and two got excellent results in all A-A *. This is the embodiment of our pupils' active pursuit of academic excellence and also the result of teachers' hard work. I sincerely congratulate them. I also hope that by formally starting their A Level courses in our Sixth Form, pupils can persistently keep forging ahead and make more proud achievements on the pathway to university.
家长是惠立社群非常重要的成员，我期待在新的学年有更多家长秉持惠立价值观，积极支持班级和学校事务与活动，与学校同行共勉，协力支持学生成长。
Parents are significant members of the Huili community. I hope that in the new school year, more parents will adhere to Huili values, actively support class and school affairs and activities, and work together to support pupils' growth.
