1st April

Qing Tuan Workshop

Qing Tuan is a traditional snack in the Jiangnan region during the Qingming Festival period, historically used for sacrificial offerings and boasting a history of over 1,000 years. For this occasion, we brought Qing Tuan onto the campus, where mothers demonstrated making these delightful treats and invited teachers to join in the experience. Finally, we gave the Qing Tuan to the teachers, allowing everyone from different countries to enjoy a better understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

Parent Workshop

We were fortunate to have invited Nina, a teacher from a prestigious middle school in Shanghai, a founding parent of Hiba School, a parent of Shenzhen College of International Education, and a guest friend, to give us a lecture on "How to Develop Your Child's 'Ultimate Skill'—Self-Realisation." The lecture provided an in-depth analysis of the parent-child trust relationship, discussed how to establish lasting trust, and explored the significance of trust in enabling children to fully realise their potential.

West Lake Hiking Activity

We started from the Guangming Temple Reservoir in Xihu District. Led by local tea farmers, we took a light hike of about three kilometres in the Longwu Scenic Area, enjoying the scenery along the way and learning about tea culture. We also invited two prominent guests: Ms. Li Ping, the owner of the Longjing Tea Garden, who served as our guide, and Ms. Jin Ying, a returned overseas child and adolescent psychology expert.

15th May

Wellington Talk

We held the first Wellington Talk where we invited Dr. Yingjie Wang, a professor at Zhejiang University School of Medicine and the founder of Hangzhou Nain BioTech Co., Ltd. Dr. Wang presented the audience in a clear, easily understandable way about how medicine is developed.

The Wellington Talk, organized by Friends of Wellington (FOW) Hangzhou alongside the school, is a thematic forum that periodically invites parents and guest speakers from various professional fields to share their insights and experiences. Its aim is to help pupils better understand the world, spread valuable knowledge and ideas, and support their career planning. It also creates more opportunities for communication and learning within the Wellington Hangzhou community.

On 24th May , the Primary School will welcome "Culture Diversity Day": each class will have a theme centred around a selected country. Parents in each class will showcase the unique aspects of that country, and pupils will wear the traditional clothing of the chosen nation. The event will feature food, games, and activities allowing children to experience and appreciate the customs and traditions of different regions and countries around the world.
