A retrospective look at the 2024 Sixth Form Graduation Ceremony

On the afternoon of 10th May at 2 pm, at WCCH, the graduation ceremony for the class of 2024 began. 

What a lively and joyous scene it was! Each heart was brimming with sentiment. Together we witnessed the end of a journey which is also a new beginning. These pupils would step from Wellington Avenue into a wider world, and higher steps. 

In the eyes of the teachers, our graduates are insatiably curious and brimming with character. They have shined in all fields such as academics, arts, and sports, pursued their passions and actively participated in school activities, and demonstrated outstanding leadership while realising their self-worth. They have stayed true to themselves and worked hard with others. 

They truly are young trailblazers. 

The Head of the Sixth Form of WCCH recalled the heartwarming years spent with the graduates. Those personal and fond memories shared with each graduate are a testament to the unforgettable years they have shared. Only with a sincere heart can such profound connections be forged. 

The train from WCCH has arrived at the station. Our first cohort of graduates will continue to uphold the values of kindness, responsibility, respect, courage and integrity to the next stop of their life journey. The Master of WCCH, Ms Kathryn Richardson remarked, 

A few years ago, with great anticipation, the ten pupils joined WCCH. Over more than 2000 days and nights, every class witnessed their hard work, every activity supported their growth, and every achievement bore the fruit of their dedication. 

They have worked hard and have become the people they aspired to be. They will set out from here this early summer to write even more splendid chapters. 

Their efforts at every moment of every day have now turned into dazzling offers, giving accolades to WCCH. 

This graduation season has seen the ten graduates receiving nearly 60 offers, with up to 90% of them admitted to the world's top 50 institutions, and 50% of them to the world's top 20 institutions and scholarships. 

We are immensely proud of them. 

May blossoms grace the journey, and may the path ahead be equally adorned.
