We are proud to showcase our pupils unparalleled English academic prowess. As the head of secondary English, I celebrate our pupils’ formidable feats on both the global and national stages, and in the Hippo English Olympiad, linguistic excellence abounded. Our pupils secured two 1st place awards, four 2nd place awards and ten 3rd place awards, and four Excellence awards, what a symphony of success in English proficiency.

Turning to the World Scholars Cup, we paved the way to the Tournament of Champions at Yale, with three teams qualifying for 2023. At the recent Ningbo regional round, our junior division team brilliantly swept the podium across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, accruing over 75 language themed awards and the top three individual scholar awards. Anticipation builds for the Dalian global round where our young scholars will vie with east Asia’s finest.

In the provincial round of the National Spelling Bee, one pupil clinched second place in Hangzhou, building the way for national recognition in Beijing. We trust our pupils will continue to build on this success and we are excited to see what they achieve next.
