As the National Day holiday quietly approaches, Hiba Academy Hangzhou has organised a series of colourful activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of China's founding. These activities not only pay tribute to the nation's glorious achievements but also provide a valuable opportunity for patriotic education and cultural immersion for the pupils. Through these meticulously planned events, the pupils not only deepened their love for the country but also enhanced their understanding of national culture, strengthening their sense of mission and responsibility as the youth of a new era.
Flag-Raising Ceremony
National Flag Soaring, Building the Chinese Dream Together
Accompanied by the resounding national anthem, the five-starred red flag slowly rose into the sky under the watchful eyes of all present, fluttering in the wind. A primary pupil representative gave an impassioned speech, recalling the brilliant achievements the country has made in various fields over the years—from technological innovation to economic development, from poverty alleviation to social welfare improvement. Every small step forward has witnessed the wisdom and efforts of the Chinese people. They called on the new generation to have a global vision and aspire to become a bridge connecting China and the world, collectively striving towards the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Ethnic Splendour
Colourful Costumes, Painting a Cultural Feast
To promote the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and enhance pupils' understanding and respect for various ethnic cultures, the school held a "National Day Ethnic Costume Day". On this day, the campus turned into a vibrant ethnic park, with teachers and pupils dressed in traditional costumes of various ethnic groups, resembling picturesque ethnic sceneries.
This event not only showcased the attire of Han, Mongolian, Tibetan, Zhuang and other ethnic groups but also conveyed the deep history and unique charm of each culture. Every elegant Han qipao and every robust Mongolian robe carried a story and a history. Through firsthand experience, the pupils learned about the national dress, the lifestyle and cultural values behind different ethnic groups. This immersive experience not only deepened their love for national culture but also made them more respectful and inclusive.
Thematic Morning Assembly
National Unity, Composing a Splendid Chapter Together
On Friday's morning assembly, the event culminated with a spectacular performance by class 4C pupils. They showcased the customs and celebrations of various ethnic groups in China through dance, songs and drama. Their joyous dances depicted the Tibetan horse racing festival, their melodious songs praised the Uyghur Muqam, and their humorous drama interpreted the Han's Lunar New Year reunion. These performances not only delighted the audience but also planted the seed of national unity in their hearts.
Throughout the performance, the pupils expressed their ambition to become youth who have both a global outlook and a strong national identity. With each dance move, every lyric and each dramatic line, they infused their deep love for their country and their hopes for a beautiful future. We firmly believe that these dream-filled youth will, in the years to come, continue to uphold the spirit of patriotism, unity, and perseverance, contributing their strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The National Day celebrations at the primary of Hiba Academy Hangzhou were more than just lively festivities; they were vital lessons in patriotism and cultural preservation. We look forward to seeing these spirited children continue to carry forward the excellent Chinese culture and take on the responsibilities assigned to them by the times. They will become important forces in building world peace and development, with their patriotic hearts and spirit of endeavour being crucial strengths and hopes for the realisation of the Chinese Dream.
