Huili School Hangzhou has a uniform policy, which all pupils and parents need to adhere to. We believe that our school uniform promotes a sense of pride in our school and solidarity between pupils. School uniforms are expected to be worn by the pupil appropriately, be cleaned on a regular basis, and they cannot deviate from the style and colour choices. Pupils are expected to present themselves in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times.

Pupils can choose the winter uniform or summer uniform as the season changes, Shoes are provided by the uniform shop. For standard uniform, the shoes required is plain black leather shoes, for PE kits, the shoes required is dark color plain sports shoes. 



Uniform Purchase


Parents can purchase uniform from the physical uniform shop located inside school or online uniform shop. The physical uniform shop is open at each teaching day and the business hour is 8:00-16:30. To cater for new enrolled families, the physical uniform shop will open for a certain period of time during the summer break.


School uniform online shop opens pre-order channels every June to July for new enrolled pupils. Parents of new pupils may register with the invitation code of the school and log on to the online school uniform shop to purchase school uniforms for the whole year and have it delivered to home. This would allow children to have enough time and space to try on their clothes. If clothes exchange is required, parents can change school uniforms online according to the information on the order. Alternatively parents can also change and purchase additional school uniforms directly at the school gymnasium (temporary venue) on the orientation days for new pupils.

Besides the pre-order period, parent can buy uniform at school uniform shop or through online school uniform shop. The online retail time is from January to May and from August to December (except for winter and summer vacation). After successful purchase, the school uniforms will be delivered to home within 5-7 days.

Dress Code 


  • All clothing must be neat and clean.
  • No frayed, torn or excessively worn items.
  • No non-uniform sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, etc.
  • Underwear should not be visible. 
  • Shirts should be tucked in at all times.
  • Skirts must be knee length. 
  • Girls must wear black tights or navy-blue socks. Boys must wear black socks.  
  • Girls’ hair ties must be black or be a Huili hair tie.  


Jewellery/ Make-Up 


No jewellery or make-up is acceptable at school, unless there is a religious reason where special approval from the head of school is needed. Tattoos, stickers, message buttons, etc. are also not acceptable at school. Pupils may wear one set of simple stud earrings but no other body piercing is permitted. 





Hair is to be clean, neat and tidy at all times. No use of hair styling agents i.e. gel, mousse, hairspray, wax and other hair products for unconventional or unnatural hairstyles is permitted.

  • Hair may not hang over the eyes.
  • Haircuts or styles may not be distracting in any way; no lines, patterns, multi-levels, etc. are permitted.
  • Hair colour must be consistent with natural hair colour.
  • Hair of shoulder length or longer is to be worn tied back as a health and safety measure. Ribbons, clips, bands and ‘scrunchies’ should be navy, black or school uniform.





Black, leather shoes are to be worn by all pupils during the school day. Shoes must not have any large, ostentatious branding on them and must be kept clean and polished.

For all sporting and performing arts activities, specific footwear for each discipline must be worn. For PE lessons, pupils will be required to wear basic, non-designer branded trainers in either black or white only.

Pupils are expected to have a sufficient number of each of the compulsory uniform items so that items can be regularly laundered. A full uniform list for each of the different schools is available online. Every item of clothing must be clearly marked with the pupil’s name. The school cannot take responsibility for lost uniform items.


Pupils will be recommended to purchase a backpack from the school uniform shop. Any non-school branded backpacks should be with similar colour and size. Designer branded backpacks are not permitted.
