每周快讯 | The Week Ahead

希望您和家人度过了一个愉快的春节假期！元宵节已过，我们也迎来了新的学期。新的学期是新的起点，也是学生成长新的契机，学校发展新的进程。

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday. With the arrival of the Lantern Festival, we have also started a new term. A new term is a new beginning, a new opportunity for pupils to grow, and a new time to develop.

“开学第一课”上，学生和老师们一起回顾了寒假生活。假期里，杭州市民同舟共济，勇敢战胜新一轮疫情，我们感恩身处一座可爱的城市，一个伟大的时代；冬奥会在北京胜利召开，中国为世界组织了一场精彩的体育盛会，展示了我们的文化自信。我们期待惠立学子都能弘扬奥运精神，并将奥运拼搏的精神植根于自己的梦想。

Pupils and teachers reviewed the winter holiday life together in the first class of the new term. During the holidays, the Hangzhou citizens have been brave to overcome the latest round of epidemic together, and we are grateful to be in a lovely city and a significant era. The Winter Olympics was held successfully, and China organised a fantastic sports event for the world and demonstrated our cultural confidence. We expect Huili pupils to carry forward the Olympic spirit and plant the Olympic "seed" into their dreams.

三月初，学校将迎来惠灵顿（中国）教育集团评审团对学校教育教学以及其他管理工作进行年度评审。通过全面的审核，评审团将对学校工作提供客观、严谨的评价，并为学校提供具有启发性的建议，支持学校发展步入新的阶段。

At the beginning of March, the school will receive the annual review of school education, teaching and other management work by the review panel of Wellington China Education Group. Through a comprehensive review, the panel will provide an objective and rigorous evaluation of the school's work and offer inspiring suggestions to support the school's development into a new phase and process. 

上学期末的家长代表见面会上，家长们表达了希望更好了解学校升学路径的意愿，我们将会在接下来的几周陆续安排活动，敬请家长们关注相关信息。

During the meeting of parents' representatives at the end of the last term, parents expressed their willingness to better understand the school's progression pathway. Therefore, we will arrange a related conference in the next few weeks. Please pay attention to the email and "T-chat" app.

欢迎学生重返校园开始新学期的学习！我们希望所有的家庭都度过了一个放松的假期，享受了与家人和朋友在一起的时光。本学期，初中部副校长赵斌和英语支持项目的新老师到任，初中学术团队将更加优秀，欢迎他们的加入！上学期，十年级学生在IGCSE的数学和西班牙语学科考试中均取得A*的最高成绩，让我们期待同学们在本学期再创佳绩。

It has been wonderful to welcome our pupils back from the Chinese New Year break. We hope that all our families had a relaxing time and enjoyed spending time with their families and friends. Our second semester has started with a strong academic provision as we welcome new staff to enhance our English support programme and welcome our Deputy Head of Junior High, Jack Zhao, who has joined us from Changsha. After the success of our Grade 10 IGCSE Maths and Spanish results (all pupils achieved the top grade of A*), we look forward to our Grade 10 future successes later this semester.

Happy new year! The spring is approaching, and the new term begins in a blink of an eye. All primary teachers of Huili School Hangzhou are ready to welcome our pupils back.

新学期意味着新的起点，希望同学们为自己设置合理的目标，制定科学的计划，迎接崭新的挑战。九层之台，起于垒土。只要同学们不断努力奋进，在不远的将来你一定会取得更加卓越的成就。

At this particular time, the end of a year and the beginning of a new year, it is an excellent time to say goodbye and look to the future. At the beginning of the new term, we hope that all pupils can set up reasonable goals for themselves and make plans to embrace new challenges. As long as every pupil keeps working hard, we believe that every pupil will achieve even greater success in the future.

春节假期期间，学校教学支持团队做好了教室清洁和设施维护，教学团队也提前完成了备课和教室布置。教学的成功离不开社群内部稳固的合作关系，未来，小学部低年级段各班都将有一位专属的助教老师。相关招聘正在开展，我们期待着尽快找到最合适的候选人加入我们的团队。

Our incredible team of support staff and educators have been in school throughout the Chinese New Year break to clean environments, refresh and prepare classrooms, and begin planning for learning during their first week back. We recognise that the success of our approaches to learning lies in the strong relationships we foster within our community, and therefore we are delighted to announce that each one of our lower primary classrooms will now benefit from a dedicated teaching assistant. Recruitment is ongoing, and we are hoping to fill these positions as soon as we have secured the very best candidates to join our team.

小学部低年级段将在三月的第一周迎来年度审核。期间，在惠灵顿（中国）教育集团、英国惠灵顿公学和学校理事会的指导下，我们将与家长和学生一同对学校在这一学年的工作进行回顾和反思。年度审核旨在回顾过往、展望未来。

Our lower primary school will participate in our annual school self-evaluation during the first week of March. During the school self-evaluation, the entire Huili School Hangzhou Community, under the direction of Wellington College China, Wellington College UK and the board of governors, and in consultation with parents and pupils, engage in a reflective process on the work of our school during the academic year. The process is designed to celebrate successes and identify growth and development areas for the future. 

第二学期，家校合作依然是学校关注的重点。我们将继续与家长携手共进，确保惠立学子成就最好的自己，为下一阶段的学习奠定夯实的基础。我们鼓励家长继续与孩子保持亲密的亲子关系，了解孩子的学习和生活情况。平日里，家长可以关注学校每周发送的班级通讯，通过“ 老师说”软件与班级老师互动、给出反馈；还可以积极参与学校和班级组织的各项活动。在随后的家长会上，家长还可以和科目老师一同回顾孩子的成长，规划下一阶段的教育目标。

Partnering with our families will be crucial during the second half of our academic school year as we continue to work together in ensuring our children succeed in becoming their very best selves as they begin preparing for the transition into the next stage of their education. We encourage families to stay connected and informed on their child's progress by following our weekly class newsletters, sharing feedback through TChat, participating in school and class activities, and reflecting and planning with your child and their teachers for their achievements during our upcoming parent-teacher conferences.
